What’s DLG about?

On track passions include things like : Porsche, sports cars, driving different tracks, car setups, track driving accessories such as a watch with racing heritage, stylish driving shoes and outfits, different racing series such as F1 and DTM, etc.

You will see many posts about my favorite cars, race tracks, tires, driving-inspired wristwatches, car+watch matchups (because if you are going to drive, you must drive like a girl – which means driving in STYLE regardless of whether you are a man or woman). Whether you are a Porsche nut, an admirer of sports car of any make/marque, or a 100% track junkie like myself, this is the destination for you.

My off track passions include all the other awesome stuff I love, aka “all things awesome” like : Gourmet food and cooking, jewelry and fashion, vacation destinations, charitable organizations and causes, philanthropy, gender equality (on and off the track), politics and Barack Obama, clean fuel, natural and organic makeup and prodcuts, and green initiatives, etc.

Drivelikeagirl.com – what’s behind the name?

What does it mean to “drive like a girl”? Driving like a girl is not just for women and not just about how you drive ON the track, it is also about how you ROLL everyday. It’s a lifestyle of person who is confident, self-aware, passionate, has standards on and off the track, who likes awesome things and awesome people, and lives each day to the fullest. Drivelikeagirl.com is THE destination for all things awesome, on and off the race track.

After my first track event, I noticed there aren’t too many other women at the track, and even fewer that like to stand around the paddock with other track junkies and talk about the wrist watch they are wearing while at the track, like I do. From this, the idea of Drivelikeagirl.com was born. This community started out as just a place for track stories and fancy watches but it has turned into much more, and become and all-encompasing destination for ANYONE and EVERYONE who knows what it means to DRIVE LIKE A GIRL.
